Opened in August of last year, Cante Alentejano Museum, dedicated exclusively to “Cante Alentejano”, was built following the existing “Casa do Cante”, which also has an exhibition gallery and an auditorium. The new Museum aims to bring knowledge of “Cante” to everyone in a more interactive way, to provide visitors with information in physical and digital support.
Project carried out in collaboration with GEMA wins 1st Prize of the Portuguese Association of Museology
APOM, the Portuguese Museology Association, awarded the Museography Work prize to Cante Alentejano Museum, in a ceremony held on May 27th. Atelier de Design João Borges was the author of the design, museography and content, with the collaboration of GEMA – responsible for the multimedia project .
The APOM Awards takes place every year and are awarded in different sectors and activities in 32 different categories. This year, the award ceremony took place in the auditorium of “Academia Militar”, in Amadora, in partnership with “Museu Militar Lisboa”.
